Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 142 (FBCMUD 142) would like to thank those residents that attended the November 5th, 2022 Water Wise Fest held at Central Green in La Centerra.
Attendees were able to get water conservation education through pamphlets, giveaways, and a coloring book for children.
The North Fort Bend Water Authority (NFBWA) was in attendance with information and giveaways, showcasing their Smart Lab for those interested in learning more about conservation and water usage tips.
Inframark/EDP were present as operators to many districts in the area (including FBCMUD 142) and provided information and assistance with the Smart Meter EyeOnWater app and website, provided educational materials related to WISE Guys (another conservation program), and provided conservation rebate forms for residents.
For the kids, there were balloon artists, face painting, games, and a Moana-themed interpretive dance performance. Waterdrop-shaped cookies were available, and the entire event was entertained by a DJ and the music they played.
Our hope is there will be events like this in the future, and the District thanks Willow Fork Drainage District (WFDD), Central Green, NFBWA, and La Centerra for hosting the event!
