The Board of Directors for Fort Bend Co. Municipal Utility District No. 142 (FBMUD 142) want to alert residents to graffiti and vandalism that has occurred within the District. The Fort Bend Co. Sheriff’s Department is aware of the situation and has tracked multiple locations and events so far.
This kind of ongoing vandalism is a cost to the District to clean up, and repeated offenses can quickly add up to tens of thousands of dollars in taxpayer funds.
Residents should be aware that these facilities are maintained by the District for the conveyance of stormwater during rain and flooding events, and debris (such as in the pictures below) can clog the system and cause water to back up into the District streets and homes.
If residents see this occurring, the District encourages them to contact the Fort Bend Co. Sheriff’s Department immediately.
